We create a durable, inclusive majority of pro-environment elected officials focused on the state’s biggest climate, regulatory, and environmental challenges.

Why a PAC?

Texas needs political coordination, strategy, and investment on environmental policy, and environmental voters need a stronger voice in Texas’ electoral process. When our team sits on the sidelines, the opposition controls the field.

A robust, environmentally focused political operation will help motivate local and state policymakers to support effective, pragmatic, and lasting environmental solutions. Texas’ laws allow a group of committed donors to play a determinative role in elections, spotlighting climate and environmental issues for voters while enhancing allies’ capabilities.

EDF Action Texas PAC will:

  • Leverage collective funds to ensure environmental issues have greater reach and political support from candidates and elected officials.
  • Provide political accountability for elected officials’ actions on key issues and policy decisions.
  • Support and promote environmental champions at all levels of government.
  • Create avenues for direct engagement between environmental voters and political leaders to address pressing environmental issues.
